I've read (completed, that is) 11 books so far this year (I work two jobs and go to University full time so it's not tooo bad a speed for me) and so far my favorites are tied between: A Caress of Twilight, by Laurell K Hamilton (which is a sequel to A Kiss of Shadows, both of which are bookrings I'm running and are both still open) or Slammerkin by Emma Donoghue. Very different books from each other, but both kept me reading at times I *really* shouldn't have been, and both made me sad to finish the book and leave the characters behind.
