The $9.00 is just until the end of the year, as a "bonus" to the groups already signed up. After that it goes to $19.00 per group. So if you are an organizer of more than one group, you have to pay the $19.00 times however many groups you are organizer of. As for meet-ups not being a productive way to spend time I think they are pretty much a strictly social occasion, a reason to get out of the house, and maybe a way to put faces together with screen names. For that matter, not much of what I do with BookCrossings is really "productive" so to speak, I just consider it my hobby. Some people knit, I stick stickers on books. It's all in your own tastes, thank goodness or as my aunt says "Whatever floats your boat." Susan
