The books from my local library's sale were a mixture of fiction and 
non-fiction. Some of 
the books were certainly out of date and I have tossed a few that were 
obviously too old 
fashioned to be of any good to anyone. Some were craft books that were 'too 
well loved' 
and falling apart. I have snaffled them to use with my 'after school care' 
service - we can 
still use them as a resource even if they are not robust enough to with-stand 
the rigours 
of being borrowed. The hardcover fction novels are still read-able and 
hopefully will still 
be appreciated by some-one. So there was a variety of reasons the books were 
weeded 
from the library. They sold a heap, but these were the left overs and certainly 
some need 
to see the inside of the local dumpster, but not all of them.
