Hi, I'm also new to the list so this seems like a good means of
introduction. I go by Bibliochild on BC and am a PhD student living
in California.
Now to answer Sandra's question ... I'm very much a sci-fantasy geek,
with a preference for the more psychological corner of the genre(s).
Favorite authors include, unsurprisingly, Ursula Le Guin and Terry
Pratchett ... and probably would include Emma Bull ("War for the
Oaks" - beautifully written!), Pat Cadigan ("Tea From an Empty Cup")
and Melissa Scott ("The Jazz") if I could find any more of their
books.
Outside of that genre, I never get tired of Jane Austin and have been
a Sherlock Holmes fan since I was a kid. My "To Read" list is filled
with research-related stuff at the moment, so I won't bore you guys
with it. ;)
Looking forward to hearing everyone else's favorites.
