I inflicted it once...I get it EVERY DAY several times over PER digest! I DIDN't mean or want it to be personal thing...I honestly tried to delete the name off it but I gooffed and pasted it and only deleted one name so I *AM* sorry for that. But I have tried asking, pleading, emailing the list owner, sending encouraging or joking posts about it etc etc etc and people still reply to a message, forget to trim and the next person who replies, if they forget to trim, actually sends the 2 messages back through the list to digest readers again so it gets compounded every time people reply to an 'untrimmed reply to an untrimmed reply'! From: sandra <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Um, yeah. And i think that's me - since my name is > plastered all over the darned thing. I'm Sorry! I tried to delete your name as per example below but i goofed and pasted it and only deleted your name once. I was trying NOT to make it personal so I do apologise! Mea culpa! *looks for sword to fall on* > > *) > > ..*) .*) > > (. (.' xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > I don't think it was aimed at any one person. no it wasn't. >>>in hopes of making us non-digest > members a little more appreciative of why they > continue to ask us to trim our posts. exactly! > From: Skyring <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > I'm a moderator on this list, and if someone lets me > know a persistent offender, I can have a word in their shell-like ear .... There are so many 'offenders' and I didn't want to be emailing you and making it 'personal'. Now I know you can and will take the action you described I will hold you accountable to your words and I will take the 'appropriate and socially acceptable way' of solving this problem even though i have tried it before! I usually try hard not to thrust myself into the 'leper and black sheep of the colony' role so I will take it to the moderators now I know they will take action. > Heck, perhaps I'm one of the persistent offenders. > Someone bung a yonnie at me if that's so, please! > Peter in Canberra No Pete you are wonderful! :-) > Subject: Re: this is a boring email! > e-x-c-e-l-l-e-n-t !! > ~Sissyrun~ Thanks :-) *bows to her apprectaitive audience of one...doffs hat....limps off back to her leper colony donning black wool as she goes.....eating humble pie for goofing and pulling daggers from her back* Kind Regards, Mim Books just wanna be FREE!
