Hi Marko, Cool to be well travelled, my 18yr old wants to leave plymouth.I guess she has itchy feet which is good . we lived abroad for 3 years 93-96 we lived in zimbabwe, ive also lived in wilts and worked all over wilts ,and gloucester .so well travelled in Janner terms ! My mother and I have a difference of opinion over pasties, she never ate Ivor dewdneys when i was younger however now they are the best pasties, however i beg to differ, i do not like Ivor Dewdneys , preferring the Oggie Oggie Pasty shop offerings. Perhaps you and your fiance could do some non biased research and test both ? Southway has not changed much since 1987, re the houses etc. however they have flattened the school which is really weird as it was a pinnacle and could be seen where you stood from Tamerton Foliot to southway drive.( i left there in 1979). I used to be a comm nurse and used to zip all around Plymouth so kept up to date with things- have not been there for about 12 months now. Plymouth city is changing too when was the last time you were here? they have flattened most of the city centre to make way for a new era.....actually i think it will improve the eyesores we had and hopefully put plymouth on the map.Hopefully it will look less like a building site when you visit!
Anyhow hope you have a good day in Brussels, is it as expensive as they say living out there? regards helen ----- Original Message ----- From: Marko Bomyer To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, July 05, 2005 8:09 AM Subject: Re: [BookCrossing] New member Hi Helen. At the moment I am in Brussels, expect to be here until early next year. Then it depends on where my compan sends me, I am hoping for either Italy, Paris or Spain. I left Southway way back in 1987 for the bright lights of London town. My first ever job was near the airport at a pub called The George Hotel. Having said that I sed to enjoy heading up to Clearbrook or Tamerton Foliet for the quieter pubs. I don't get to Plymouth much anymore but will be visiting later this year when I want to show my fiancee where I grew up and introduce her to pasties... Ivor Dewneys YUM!
