I apologize to anyone who feels that I was insulting the author posting here. I was genuinely asking for clarification. I also belong to a number of writers' lists where all people talk about is promoting their books, so perhaps that struck a chord. I'm also an author, at least one of my books is making Bookcrossing rounds, but I didn't feel it appropriate to promote it (or any of my other books) here. My apologies.
