Hello out there, For my first bookring, I'd like to do something a little out of the ordinary. If all goes well, this will be the first in a series of others I plan to do.
I call this bookring Take Me With You. The only rule is that you have to read the book while on holiday/vacation/traveling. If possible, pass it on to someone else either on the bookring list living in that location or someone who is travelling with you. If you can't find a recipient where you are travelling, pass it on to someone on the list who lives near you or mail to someone on the list. As a bonus, attach a photograph from your trip to your journal entry. As a double-bonus, leave a postcard or a sticker in the book from the place you're travelling. I figure this is a great style of bookring for people who want to participate but can't always afford the postage. it's also nice to have something escapist to read while enjoying time off. The book I have chosen for this bookring is Yoga For People Who Can't Be Bothered To Do It, which is a memoir of some of Geoff Dyer's travels around the world. http://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/4292181 There won't really be any order to who gets this.I will use both the forum thread - http://www.bookcrossing.com/forum/20/3913029 - and the journal entry to keep track of all registered participants.
