Re: HOuse of Sand and Fog - I agree. The female main character aggravated me and in the end when you were meant to have some feeling for her I felt nothing. But I don't think that took away from my enjoyment of the book.
Re: Time Traveller's Wife - Yes, it is very important when reading this book to just pretend it all makes sense.
