Even if people join just so they can go hunting there's got to be more to it
than just getting free stuff. The thrill of hunting, the excitement when a
book is found, curiosity about the person who left it...
And even if they don't get any of that, it's still a person who thinks books
are valuable enough to spend that much time and effort to find them and will
most likely then read them, so that hunting concept doesn't bother me at all.

The reason why I asked, way back in the beginning of the thread, was because
when I was telling a friend (who is not a bookcrosser) abou teh concept, she
screwed her face up slyly and said "I know you, Nisaba. you're broke, and
you like books. You just joined to hunt down all the free books." While my
stats (dozens of releases, no finds) speak for themselves, it *did* occur to
me that there might be people like her already registered to the site, and
it left a foul taste in my mouth. I wasn't asking about a person keeping a
book they particularly liked, per sae, just the whole concept of
deliberately hunting down finds to get free books. I think it's dirty, I
didn't know about others.

Nisaba
