Hi Wendy!
Enjoyed your reading list. I'm currently reading Water For Elephants.
I have the book Tortilla Curtain & Travels With Charley on cassettes.
I'm making note of your other reads.... just in case I run across some
books in my thrift store hunting. As if my TBR list isn't long enough!
To Kill A Mockingbird is one of my all time favorites, so I decided last
year to buy the book brand new (the larger paperback size) & keep it.
And of course the movie was great.
I also love the tales of the city. I have More Tales Of The City, Babycakes
& Night Listener. I got hooked on this series after watching it on PBS. I
might've talked to you before about this series. At the time, they only
filmed
a couple of the books because of censorship. Can you believe that? I saw
a special with the author talking about the difficulties in making the films
& not having the backing to film the rest of the series. On a trip to S.F. I
saw the site where it was filmed.
Anyway, happy reading!
lorraine
