Hi Lorraine,

Yup, I can believe they stopped filming due to censorship - there is *a lot*
of censorship out there; people who want to control what we see, hear and
read. ARGGG!

I also watched the limited series on Tales of the City - I wish they had
completed it! The books are one of my all-time favorite series reads.

Hi Wendy!

I also love the tales of the city. I have More Tales Of The City, Babycakes
& Night Listener. I got hooked on this series after watching it on PBS. I
might've talked to you before about this series. At the time, they only
filmed
a couple of the books because of censorship. Can you believe that? I saw
a special with the author talking about the difficulties in making the films
& not having the backing to film the rest of the series. On a trip to S.F. I
saw the site where it was filmed.

Anyway, happy reading!
