In 1980 I had a programme called "Perfect Filer" (sister-software to 
"Perfect Writer" a better, more foolproof, and much smaller word-processor 
than word). Yiou could set up as many or as few fields as you liked, and you 
could get it to sort by date or by any of those fields. It was brilliant. I 
lost my copy several computer-changeovers ago. If anyone can find it, I'd 
*love* a copy.
