Worcester Community Give a Book is looking for donations for this summer's program for elementary and middle school children. Two-thirds of low income families have NO books at home. They are trying to collect 10,000 books. I thought this would be a great way for us BCer's to get involved and spread our message of loving and sharing books and teaching them geography at the same time.
So please search your bookcases and homes for new and/or gently-used reading books for children in grades K-8. And by all means, please feel free to ID your books as BC books. This is a great time to gather new members (the next generation of BCer's) and instill a love of reading in underprivileged youngsters.
