I would define pagan children's books as anything pagan friendly or
demonstrating pagan values. That is one of the reasons I thought it would be
good to get others to participate as well so there would be different
perspectives coming in rather than just one person's opinion. Being written
specifically for pagans is in no way a requirement. I've noticed the
Chronicles of Narnia on a lot of pagan book lists, for example, even though
they were written as a Christian allegory. I have not yet put them on the
paperbackswap.com, but they probably will end up on the list, if not put there
by me, someone else will probably tag them that way.
Thanks for the suggestions! Feel free to tag them "pagan children's books"
on paperbackswap.com so I don't have to ;-)

Interesting project! <snip>Of course, defining "books for pagan
children" could be a challenge.
I noticed St. Exupery's "Little Prince" on one list, for example, and
I'd be tempted to add Burnford's "Secret Garden" on a list of my own -
in that one, the children do use a common Church of England hymn,
but they also wind up celebrating the rebirth of the garden and
having their own rituals to summon "the magic". So those are books
that might be of interest to people with pagan beliefs, but may not
be written expressly for pagan children, and certainly might not be
very explicitly pagan. Not sure whether you want to specify a
boundary or just to find as many remotely-pagan-friendly books as you
can!
