> why are some books listed as available on a list but then have a little running book > next to the title like its been released?
Like GoryDetails said, that usually shouldn't happen. I've done that inadvertently several times with books, however. It happened when I made release notes for a book, then either didn't release the book or took the book back because it wasn't moving. SO what happened was it was set to being "in the wild" with the running book and traveling status when I wild released it. But when I took it back, I deleted the journal entry that had the release and set the status to available. However, the running book icon stayed there, as though it were still in the wild- exactly what you seem to have seen. It's fixed two ways: 1- the book owner can contact BC support and have them fix the problem or 2- (the method I use, since I don't like bothering BC support if I can do it myself) make another journal entry that will be as though you found the book. The system registers this as no longer in the wild, even though the wild release notes aren't there. Then you can delete the "found" journal entry and set the status to whatever you want and the running book icon won't be there any more. The only problem with this is that your system (I THINK) still registers the fact that the book was released in your stats. So if you want your stats to be exact, you have to be sure to wild release that book some time in the future because (I THINK) that second wild release won't be added to your stats since that book was already technically wild released by you. ARG. It all makes sense, but I'm probably being confusing in the explanation. Maybe it is easier just to contact BC support and have them fix it :-) Anyway, yeah, that might be the problem. That's what I did to cause that result, at least. Peace, KateKintail "Life isn't a support-system for art.
