The books that I generally give up on are nonfiction. Unless it's something that I'm personally very interested in, they just don't cut it for me, especially if they are a discussion book. I've heard too many people comment "it changed my life", trying to get the group sucked into a book, that I gave myself permission to not read it and skip the heartburn. If they don't cut the mustard, there are too many other "good" books out there. Sue Keehynen

It only took 50 years but it was liberating! I used to keep reading regardless, sure that "it HAS to get better in the next chapter" or "something will happen in the next chapter to bring this all together." ____________ _________ _________ __ From: Nisaba Merrieweather <nis...@dodo. com.au> To: BookCrossing@ yahoogroups. com Sent: Sunday, January 11, 2009 2:14:05 AM Subject: Re: [BookCrossing] Re: books given up on G'dday. ----- Original Message ----- From: "M G" <spanishdivaangel@ yahoo.com> To: <BookCrossing@ yahoogroups. com> Sent: Friday, January 09, 2009 8:46 AM Subject: [BookCrossing] Re: books given up on > The book I kind of gave up on this year was Anna > Karenina.
