looks like you forgot to change to new method in ZookeeperUtil.

I think we can remove that method completely in ZookeeperUtil right? you can
make use of it from ZKUtils dierectly?
Other than that Patch looks great. Good work Vinay.
I think once you change this, it is almost ready to go.
