Ah sorry, I didn't know you guys were working on a patch. I wanted to get this 
into 4.2.2 so I just dived right in. As it is, I think my patch needs some more 
work, especially around the channelDisconnected part, as I'm not confident 
there still aren't races there. Do you guys have a different solution?
