Hi All I do not believe that we should register at all until the regulations are published. All we will be doing is drawing attention to ourselves. SAPS will in any case be fully occupied looking at bigger fish, especially the entire scrap metal and automotive trades. They are understaffed, and badly briefed. As CPF chairman in my own area I acutely aware of the total disorganisation in respect of the Act, and I may also say we are supposed to be one of the top three stations in the Joburg Metro. Personally all I can tell you is that I will not be registering to become a SHG dealer until the day of Tuesday 31st of July. As soon as one has the second-hand goods dealer license, one is obliged to follow each and every part of the new SHGA, which our business, Tall Stories, cannot possibly do and I know that many of you are in a similar position.
