Yes boom has the backup beep . for some reason unreliable and a bit slow to start stream can get you this symptom , a rtry makes it work , thats what you do when emedietly manually start via preset button . That was why i suggested longer time out .
Other idea set LMS to proxied streaming , gets you larger buffer and genrally better handling of "lumpy" streams. When radio had its most problematic bout with alarms a sugestion was to not use even alarm times like 07:00 but 06:53 or 07:03 or 7:13 or something .
