Hi Philippe,

no, I didn't. Because even if you manage to solve the superglue between
the metal frame and the outer surround edge (which I doubt is possible),
you would still have to deal with the connection between the cone and
the inner surround edge which is not superglue but probably like
silicone or rubber, and the cone is basically made of stiff cardboard or
something. I would avoid putting water or any other liquid on it. It's
not so much to protect the look but imagine the consequences of cone
deformation when it becomes softened up by liquids. Really I would
suggest against that.
