If you mean you want to change the firmware that is in the Boom or a
Classic - then it is not possible. The current firmware is not open
source. The Ubicom IP3K development tools are not open source and the
license to use them was v. expensive.

The firmware in the Touch could be changed but IIRC it is steep learning
curve.
