Hi Guys

Further to yesterday's dilemma, some more facts have emerged which is
testing my small brain!!! :)

In an ealrier thread I'd mentioned that my trusty Squeezebox Boom
refused to connect to my 2.7 Ghz wireless network whilst the other
Logitech radios here (also running LMS) connected OK. Based on deduction
and the replies here, I concluded that it was simply that the Boom was
suffering from old age and the wirleess part was broken (the message
after login was 'encryption failure'). At the same time my wireless
connection kept dropping out randomly and reconnecting.

The Boom still won't log on today - and the situation has got worse! :(
One of the Logitech radios downstairs now refuses to log on as well,
whereas another in the kitchen (5 metres away) connects OK.

I spoke with BT who provide my broadband, and who turned out not be
quite as helpful as I'd hoped: suggesting that it was 'channel
interference' and I should switch from 'auto' to 'channel 11' in the
router settings. I get the logic of that - in that there may have been
some form of interference that was forcing to router to keep changing
channels and hence the dropouts. But I wasn't convinced it was anything
to do with the logging on problem.

Unfortunately, the fixed channel idea didn't make a bit of difference. A
subsequent call ended up with them repeating the same advice about
'fixing' the channel. When I asked if they had any other suggestions
they basically said the connection to the house is fine, it's obviously
something INSIDE the house - and that was down to me.

So here we are - I have 5 radios, three of which connect OK, two that
now don't and a Boom that doesn't either. I have rebooted the router and
reset the radios - and they still won't connect wirelessly.
Interestingly, they all work if I connect them via an ethernet cable.

..and I'm now out of ideas and hoping someone here might be able to
point me in the right direction? The whole problem was sudden. It was
all working Thursday, the Boom stopped connecting on Friday and the
Radio today (Sunday). The wireless connection overall is still a bit
flakey but all our Tablets and phones connect OK.

Any thoughts appreciated. :)

Thanks

Steve
