Hi, Sorry to hear of your Boom's demise, fingers crossed it's just the power adapter (have you tried wriggling the power plug connector in the back of the Boom, they can get dirty and lose contact).
There's a few threads around here that cover dis-assembly and repair... PBroughton's thread "Anyone Fixing Booms?" is probably the best for strip down (pictures start on Page 10 post #95) and in the same thread JoeMuc2009 (page 21 post #209) has links to his technology blog where he discusses issues with and fixes for the Boom, also worth clicking on Joe's name and viewing his forum posts - he often chimes in on repair discussions.
