Replying to myself, but found the following post: https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?55668-Repairing-replacing-the-Boom-Power-Supply&p=364633&viewfull=1#post364633 That confirms the polarity of the supply I've found is correct. So I bit the bullet and plugged it in, and the Boom sprang to life instantly! Will try to source an appropriate replacement, but this is obviously excellent news!
