I don't see anything there about the Boom. Those surrounds didn't wear out. Many of them failed in less than a year of moderate use.
I doubt this. Because if that had happened, then we would have had to exchange many of them. And AFAIK this problem has not been "officially" recognized, simply because it happened after SB was dead as a product line.
