While trying to use Boost.Book and Boost.Bjam to build html docs for Boost,
I encountered the following question:

I installed and configured libxml2, libxslt1.1 and xsltproc,
downloaded "docbook-xsl-1.65.1.tar.gz" and "docbook-xml-4.2.zip" from
internet,
extracted and put them into my home dir:

/home/allen/boostbook/docbook-xsl-1.65.1/
/home/allen/boostbook/docbook-xml-4.2/

Then I modified /home/allen/boost-cvs/boost/tools/build/v2/user-config.jam,
add
then following lines:

using boostbook : /home/allen/boostbook/docbook-xsl-1.65.1/ : /home/allen/boostbook/docbook-xml-4.2/ ;

While try to compile docs for program_options library, I got the following
errors:

bjam --v2 html

...found 40 targets...
...updating 1 target...
xslt-xsltproc-dir html/HTML.manifest
http://docbook.sourceforge.net/release/xsl/current/html/admon.xsl:1: parser
error : Document is empty

It's possible that bjam is not finding your user-config.jam. If you have a user-config.jam in $HOME than that one will be used. If not, it will use the one from $BOOST_BUILD_PATH. Check to make sure it is pointing to the build/v2 directory, not build/v1.
