My grievance with BoostBook's handling of enums goes back a long way
(eg., http://tinyurl.com/fn2hj). The following problems are now fixed:
- Doc comments on enum values are no longer ignored. If you bother to
add doc comments your enumerations, they'll actually show up in your
reference documentation. Imagine that! :-) If you comment your enum
values, they will show up as a variable list in the (new!) Description
section of your enum reference. See http://tinyurl.com/oo7vm for an example.
- Buggy line-wrap calculation fixed. This was causing enum synopsis to
overflow its bounding rectangle, particularly in PDF.
- Bizarre empty comments in synopsis now contain useful information
(search for "enum" on http://tinyurl.com/grf7b for example of bug).
I regenerated the boost docs locally and inspected them by hand.
Xpressive, Date_time, Program_options and String_algo all benefit from
this change, among others, so I went ahead and committed the changes to
both HEAD and the RC branch. Enjoy.
