I don't get that when I generate the maths documentation. Look at the intermediate files, that attribute appears in the docbook file, which suggests that somethings going wrong with the docbook => html conversion. I'm using the latest ubuntu packages, which are probably more recent than the ones recommended in the quickbook documentation, so maybe they fix this? But I wouldn't worry about this for now. As it's html, the browser just ignores unknown attributes. So this error is pretty harmless. Douglas Gregor might be able to tell you more when he gets the chance.
