Hi,

I'm working on an emacs editing mode for Quickbook. One peculiarity
of the syntax of Quickbook interacts badly with a peculiarity of
emacs' font-lock (syntax highlighting) design:

in

       [' ... ]

the single quote character is not required to be matched, so
syntactically, it acts just like punctuation, but in

       '''
          ...
       '''

the quote character acts like a string quote.

Just FYI, this contextual choice makes it more difficult than it would
otherwise be to write the mode, since emacs' builtin paren-balancing
functionality looks at these character-level syntax tables.
