The above link strongly implies companies and organizations willing to maintain a Boost library. My OP is really about individual programmers willing to maintain a Boost library. Boost needs such people and I would like to see some sort of specific methodology which will allow such qualified people to mainatin a Boost library where there is currently no active mainatiner or where the library is part of the CMT. There are Boost libraries where PRs and bug reports build up and where there is no active maintainer to deal with these issues. I believe this is a serious problem with end users, and I think that having satisfied end users is central to Boost's success. > > > Jon > > > > *From: *Boost Steering Committee <boost-s...@googlegroups.com > <javascript:>> on behalf of Edward Diener <edwardl...@gmail.com > <javascript:>> > *Reply-To: *Boost Steering Committee <boost-s...@googlegroups.com > <javascript:>> > *Date: *Monday, August 7, 2017 at 4:12 PM > *To: *Boost Steering Committee <boost-s...@googlegroups.com <javascript:>> > *Subject: *[boost-steering] Taking over as the maintainer of a Boost > library > > > > What is the proper way to have someone taking over as the maintainer of a > Boost library, which either has no active maintainer or is a CMT library ? > > -- > The Boost Steering Committee webpage: > https://sites.google.com/a/boost.org/steering/ > --- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "Boost Steering Committee" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an > email to boost-steerin...@googlegroups.com <javascript:>. > To post to this group, send email to boost-s...@googlegroups.com > <javascript:>. > Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/group/boost-steering. > To view this discussion on the web visit > https://groups.google.com/d/msgid/boost-steering/55bf7765-b373-4f41-8bd8-39da12055840%40googlegroups.com > > <https://groups.google.com/d/msgid/boost-steering/55bf7765-b373-4f41-8bd8-39da12055840%40googlegroups.com?utm_medium=email&utm_source=footer> > . > For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout. > > -- The Boost Steering Committee webpage: https://sites.google.com/a/boost.org/steering/ --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Boost Steering Committee" group.
