Although they have not announced anything further about more BCB6 service packs, it is easy to guess that there will not be any more. All indications are that Borland is working on a BCB7 release but, in true Borland fashion, there is no date given when it will be released until it happens. Borland has reiterated they are committed to 100% Ansi C++ standard compatibility, and have said that they are working on a new compiler engine that will better support both their Windows and Linux C++ offerings, but again there is no date or roadmap as to when that might be achieved. Borland almost never announces any dates for doing anything and, at the most, they mention general plans with very few specifics. That is evidently just their normal company policies. Given all the BCB6 bug reports that were put up on their Quality Central bug tracking system by Mr. Meredith, many other developers, and yours truly, many of them compiler bugs taken from Boost tests etc., it is disappointing as per usual that they rarely see it as a necessity to make there current release better, but at least they have a roadmap for the many things which will hopefully be fixed in BCB7.
