It is with deep sorrow and much lighter
pockets that I regret to inform you
that my dual boot windows/linux PC
has passed away.

Whatever was causing Linux to lock up
has progressed to the point where the
BIOS won't even run now, no ram check,
no keyboard beeps, no harddrive chatter,
nothing.

It passed quietly in its sleep. It worked
one day, and then a couple days later,
it simply wouldn't turn on.

It will be placed in cryogenic storage
with the hopes that someday science may
find a cure for whatever ailed it.

Once that seems unlikely, its organs
may be harvested to save the life of
another PC. (if they aren't completely
obsolete by that point)

A replacement from Penguin Computing is
on its way.

join me in a moment of silence now
to remember all those who touched our lives
and wallets so deeply...

(sniff)

Thank you,

Greg
