I am kind of surprised that java overwhelming won over perl. Even though the perl code would be a lot more succint and quicker to code... I didnt think string operations in java were quick enough to compete with perl. I wonder if the perl implementation on the sun ultra 60 is not the best? :) In any event, I would be interested in seeing what the rest of crew thinks of this.
