Just a small point of fact: that dubious misrepresentation of the panel "vote" have been duly refuted many times, in many places. The vote was not an up-or-down vote for certification, but more of a last minute "we need to clear the room, so how many people right here, right now would be interested in continuing this discussion at a later date?" Furthermore, the audience was predisposed to want to discuss certification, since there were many other concurrent tracks at the time, and the people who "voted" had already made a decision that this panel was the most interesting session out of ~3 dozen.
