This thread and Gnat's comment on Use.perl re Python
got me thinking about the  future of scripting and
dynamic languages, based on what I'd heard at the BLU 
meeting lately.

The cheap web app, LAMP-LITE, may be Perl's history
and PHP's future, but I  suspect the real threat to
Perl's future is Python.
