I've spent better part of a week looking in
all the harddrives I've got hanging around at
home but I can't seem to find my
Open Office files for Impatient Perl.
I last saw them a couple months ago
before I had to swap out the Windows
harddrive on my dual boot system.
And I must have lost them when I
was playing musical harddrives.
I have an HTML version and I have a PDF
version, but I don't have the original source
files anymore.
Since I'm going to have to start over from scratch,
I'd like to change the approach so that
the source is some sort of wiki,
or publicly editable interface,
and that some perl script takes
it and creates a PDF or some other
format that can be converted to PDF.
I need a PDF to generate the paperback.
The PDF will need a table of contents
at the front and an index at the back
and would need to have some formatting
stuff like making sure a two line perl
example doesn't get broken into two
separate pages and stuff like that.
That's the ideal solution, anyway.
Anything like this exist?
Pointers? URL's? Hints?
