I had forgotten that they moved to Portland. I guess its been years since I've even considered checking with my employer to see if a conference like this was in the budget, even as employers changed. (I still find it sort of funny that when I left boston.com a year and a half ago, the move from a media company to a financial company looked like a move towards greater stability.) Just the other day, I was talking to a co-worker about how it would be hard to justify the cost of a conference or tutorial.
