As an SVN user willing to understand that Git isn't SVN, I found Git easier to start up with. Bazaar did NOT impress. Git makes a clean break in operating model from local storage sccs derived model that almost everything else is derived of. Just as a punchcard lrecl mindset holds you back with u*nx's papertape mindset, one must get a clear mind for ClearCase virtual filesystem or Git's tiered system.
