Cooler, with consenting adults who don't take this too seriously. First of all (appeal to authority) svn sucks see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XpnKHJAok8 ....Linus Torvald's telling google their code hosting sucks because they use svn. Of course (for me) svn sucks much less than cvs and I was very grateful to the svn developers for creating it and letting me use it for free. Second, for things that I care about, bzr is very not sucky especially relative to subversion. For example, branching and merging is ridiculously easy. http://www.markshuttleworth.com/archives/34 Renaming is a first class operation. See http://www.markshuttleworth.com/archives/123 I'm ok waiting 1.6 seconds for a diff if I don't have to physically remove a file before doing a 'svn remove' Though for me, waiting 1.6 seconds for a diff is not actually necessary. time bzr diff README real 0m0.224s user 0m0.180s sys 0m0.044s time bzr diff app-mvhub/DocumentRoot/cgi-bin/mvhub/admin/admin.pl real 0m0.254s user 0m0.196s sys 0m0.052s _______________________________________________ Boston-pm mailing list [email protected] http://mail.pm.org/mailman/listinfo/boston-pm
