hi all,

i have been on a module rush recently and have updated template::simple
too. it now has compiled templates and is blazingly fast. there is also
a cookbook of examples and much cleaner pod as well. check it out at:

        sysarch.com/Template-Simple-0.03.tar.gz

it is in beta so download and run the tests. the extras/cookbook.pl is
both pod and running code of the examples. any feedback on that or the
module docs is welcome. i hope to release it to cpan later this week.

as i mentioned code generation the other day, this module generates perl
for compiled templates. take a gander at the code if you want to see
something different.

also when this is done, i will be getting back to file::slurp and adding
in those new features. 2 of 3 are coded with tests and the third is a
variation on the second. they need integration and pod and more
tests. if things work well, the next release could be in a few weeks. 2
major releases after 5 years of nothing. what has come over me!?

thanx,

uri
