Summary: Has anyone written a perl program to find a site with COVID-=19 in Mass?
The site https://vaxfinder.mass.gov is very tedious to use. You can see a list of sites, but as of now all but one said "Available Appointments : 0" One had 1 appointment but when I tried to get it It said there were no appointments. I reran the original search and that site still said "Available Appointments : 1" for a few minutes, but then it changed 0. So there is at least 1 minute of latency in updating the system. The main site asks for your zip code. Here is the URL for my zip code in Newton https://vaxfinder.mass.gov/?zip_or_city=02468 I would be willing to oput in another zip code if that helps, but do not want to drive to the Berksires. I left unchecked the box that asks "Show Only Sites With Known Availability" becauae when I checked it it sad there wer no sites. I thnk the key word there is "known". Some sites have availability, but they are not known to have available. So you have to look at each site to see. Here is a snippet from the results of that starting page: Location Name Site Type Availability More Information <https://vaxfinder.mass.gov/locations/fenway-park/> Boston: Fenway Park 6.96 miles from 02468 4 Jersey St Boston MA 02215 Updated 3 minutes ago Nearest MassVax MassVax Currently Full <https://vaxfinder.mass.gov/locations/fenway-park/> DETAILS <https://vaxfinder.mass.gov/locations/newton-cvs/> Newton: CVS 0.96 miles from 02468 978 Boylston St. Newton MA 02461 Updated 28 minutes ago Retail Pharmacy Currently Full <https://vaxfinder.mass.gov/locations/newton-cvs/> DETAILS <https://vaxfinder.mass.gov/locations/needham-harvard-vanguard-medical-associates-atrius-health/> Needham: Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates-Atrius Health 1.29 miles from 02468 100 2nd Avenue Needham MA 02494 There are links on the main page takes you to other pages e.g., https://www.maimmunizations.org/clinic/search?q[services_name_in][]=Vaccination <https://www.maimmunizations.org/clinic/search?q%5bservices_name_in%5d%5b%5d=Vaccination&q%5bage_groups_name_in%5d%5b%5d=Seniors&q%5bvenue_search_name_or_venue_name_i_cont%5d=&q%5bclinic_date_gteq%5d=&q%5bvaccinations_name_i_cont%5d=&location=&search_radius=All&commit=Search&page=1#search_results> &q[age_groups_name_in][]=Seniors&q[venue_search_name_or_venue_name_i_cont]=&q[clinic_date_gteq]=&q[vaccinations_name_i_cont]=&location=&search_radius=All&commit=Search&page=1#search_results Healthcare Location See Details <https://vaxfinder.mass.gov/locations/needham-harvard-vanguard-medical-associates-atrius-health/> DETAILS So now I clicked on the DETAILS link for the third item, which took me here: https://vaxfinder.mass.gov/locations/needham-harvard-vanguard-medical-associates-atrius-health/ and I clicked Schedule , which took me here : https://myhealth.atriushealth.org/fr/No_Slots.asp which says in part: “ All available vaccination appointments have been filled.” At one point I reached a page that said: “ Welcome, you are now in line to schedule your vaccine appointment. Thank you for your patience” Your estimated wait time is 4 minutes.... Then it changed to 8 minutes, and then to 2 minutes. But at the end all it let me do is search again – not book an appointment. That search again found every site had no appointments. It was 3 pages, with about 10 items per page. They all looked basically like thie following The important field is “Available Appointments”. Fenway Park on 02/25/2021 4 Jersey St, Boston Massachusetts, 02215 Vaccinations offered: Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine Age groups served: Adults, Seniors Services offered: Vaccination Additional Information: Additional Information: ***Per the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' vaccine distribution timeline, this clinic is for all Phase 1 priority groups and these Phase 2 priority groups: individuals ages 75+, one companion per 75+ individual (same-day appointment required), individuals ages 65+, individuals ages 16+ with 2 or more of certain medical conditions, and residents and staff of public and private low-income and affordable senior housing.*** Please arrive just 5 minutes prior to your appointment (not sooner or later), remember to wear a mask, and practice social distancing at all times. You should expect to be at the vaccination site for about 60-75 minutes — from the time you check in until your post-shot observation period ends. Clinic Hours : 08:00 am - 06:00 pm Available Appointments : 0 Special Instructions: If you are signing up for a second dose, you must get the same vaccine brand as your first dose. Unfortunately since I never got past here I do not know what the program should do to actually book an appointment. Maybe make an alarm noise to wake me up so I can finish it manually.
