The following is from the Boulder County Community Action Board.

Friends,

We are contacting you because of your courageous work to address oppression
and stand for the rights of individuals in our community. While it may not
always seem appreciated, your efforts have a tremendous impact upon us all.
Through forums, trainings and direct action your work along with others has
greatly benefited the community. But we all recognize that too often our common
struggles are done in isolation. Too often we miss opportunities to coordinate,
share resources, and help each other with outreach.

The Boulder County Community Action Program (CAP) Board is in the initial
planning stages of "Strategies to End Oppression" program, and we would like to
leverage our efforts through collaboration. We are proposing a gathering of
colleagues to strategize, empathize and organize together. As a first step, we
are planning to meet on July 13th from 12:00 to 1:30 at the CAP office. The
address is 3482 N. Broadway. Please respond to Janet Heimer ([EMAIL PROTECTED]
) or call 441-3972 by July 9th. Lunch will be provided. If you know of other
individuals and groups who should be included in this gathering, please let us
know.

We believe that any project that we do should and will acknowledge the
work that has preceded ours. We also know there is much for us to learn
when we present ourselves as agents of this work. We are each other's
teachers, coaches and mentors. We each hold a unique piece of the
puzzle.

We greatly appreciate your response and support.

Sincerely,

CAP Board,
