Hi Mark, until about two weeks ago I owned a 6600 and used it regularly with Vodafone New Zealand without problems. In the case of Optus, I'd ask them if there is a modem initialisation string that they recommend for use with dial-up networking. If such a string exists, you can enter it in the connection configuration you're using for Optus. We have a number of Australian customers using GPRS successfully but I am not certain if any are using Optus. Perhaps check with Ramona Mandy, if you haven't already.
