Hi Peggy, After I sent that message I checked my settings and found that they had reverted back to recording to the "my memos" folder, but the record button was still set not to record if the unit was off. The only thing I can think of is that when I quit reading my book, I must have forgotten to turn it off and when placing the bn on the floor must have hit the record button. So actually the only setting that was changed there when I installed the patch was to record to "my memos" instead of the SD card. Well I mean all of the recording settings had gone back to the default but I must have left the unit on. Don't know how I managed to do that but what a lesson that was. And you might know it would happen when I had just upgraded so that I'd think I had screwed my machine up. All's well that ends well, and I learned a few things in the process. Took a few years off my life though, LOL!
