I've found that the need for the jkl reset with the voicenote qt is very rare,
but the sdf reset might as well be done on a regular basis it is required so
often. Even with reclaiming database space Oh, freeing they call it, and
deleting web history cookies and all, the system progressively slows down with
use until it's so bogged you might as well be working with a slate and stylus,
cups and string. At this point, or before you actually reach it preferably, the
sdf reset reclaims all that memory the system is leaving in limbo and snaps
back into proper working time. This is an old problem from dos days and early
windows where much of the software didn't give back the space it used in memory
until things were squished up into one corner of the cyber universe and you had
to do a reset to clear the decks and begin again. Perhaps in 7.0 Humanware can
add this housekeeping chore autoaticly or even do the resets and clears in the
background where they belong to keep the system running sm
oothly without all these resets.
