Hello Terry: Blue tooth is a SHORT range wireless solution that allows PC's, handhelds, paripherals and other devices to link together within about 30 feet. Wireless networks (802.11b and 802.11g) are designed to work over about 300 feet line of sight. While there is a way to link to your PC or Laptop via Blue Tooth and get onto the internet, most people are doing this through wireless access. You can use Blue tooth to link a PC or handheld to a blue tooth equipped printer or modem. I, for example, use Blue tooth to link my MPower to my cell phone while travelling. For example, I'm sitting on the bus and am checking my email with Blue Tooth without the phone ever leaving its case on my belt.
Some users on this list use a Blue Tooth QWERTY keyboard to link to their BT style BrailleNotes or VoiceNotes to make typing easier though I'm not exactly sure why. Otheres on this list can probably speek to that question. I hope I haven't muddied the waters further for you, but thought I'd put in my two cents as usual. hth Jeff [EMAIL PROTECTED]
