I have a VNQT but it does lose speech on occasion when browsing the web. In fact, it is locking up totally. Knowing the web sites where this happens, I' m pretty sure it is just trying to process something it doesn't understand and can't deal with so it just sits there and waits to learn. I just do a simple reset and avoid that site in the future. As I have been discovering, these devices have specific limitations over or perhaps under other computers. It would be nice if we had the specific perameters of these limitations spelled out in accurate detail rather than having to stumble through figuring them out, but that doesn't seem forthcoming. What I have gleened thus far is that I can lose speech when working with too large a database file. I can lose speech for several reasons when browsingthe web including when a page is very cluttered with animated little cartoon type things, flash presentations, and various things I am assuming are active X or Java or some such not supported or simply requiring more overhead to handle than these units have.
As with any troubleshooting, try to be specific about what was going on when you lost speech.I don't mean it was talking along and then it just stopped, but I was browsing the web and on such and such a page it seemed to just lock up. That way others can try to replicate your problem. But to answer your question, I lose speech.
