Pam, from the Main Menu, if you'll do W, then press C, go to the
drive you want, like Compact Flash. When you see "file to
create?" Press Backspace with X to get to your document type.
Rather than pressing Enter, after you find what you want, write
your file name in (computer Braille, of course) and press Enter.
You can put this in any folder you want, (funny how fast my
"none" folder is filling up, (smile.)

Subject: [Braillenote] files from the braillenote to be printed
on the pc
What I want to do is create a file on the braillenote and save it
in
such a way that it will come up in Word when I transfer it to my
PC to
be printed. I know the PC can't read key word documents, so what
would
I save the file as or I should say how can I save it in say .rtf?
I'm
sure this has been discussed before but I just now started
considering
it when thinking about typing my son's papers for him while he
recovers from surgery. Thanks.
Pam
